Alberto Long III was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. Alberto earned a double major in English and Philosophy from the University of Texas and his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law. While in law school, Alberto served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Craig A. Gargotta, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Texas, and worked as a student attorney as part of the St. Mary’s Center for Legal and Social Justice Consumer Protection Division, where he assisted indigent clients with title clearing issues and unlawful home foreclosures. After law school, Alberto gained valuable experience in civil litigation and the ad valorem property tax system while working with a boutique firm in Austin, Texas, that defended the Travis County Appraisal District. Alberto then returned to his hometown of Laredo to practice law with the Law Offices of Donato Ramos, PLLC.
