Donato D. Ramos, Jr. was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. In 2000, he earned his B.S. in Communications, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University, where he also served as a four-year manager for the men’s basketball team. In 2003, he graduated from the University of Texas School of Law, where he taught Legal Research and Writing as a “Teaching Quizmaster.” From 2003-2004, he served as a judicial law clerk for United States District Court Judge George P. Kazen in the Southern District of Texas, Laredo DIvision. He is admitted to practice in Texas and in the United States District Courts of the Southern District of Texas.

Mr. Ramos’ extensive experience in civil litigation includes handling a broad range of complex commercial and business cases, including cases involving oil and gas (oil and gas lease interpretation disputes, lease termination claims, surface use issues, breach of lease claims, trespass to try title claims, royalty underpayment cases, title disputes, etc.), personal injury, real estate, probate litigation (will contests, suits to recover money wrongfully taken from estate, etc.), and other contractual, business, and commercial disputes. Mr. Ramos’ practice also includes a broad property, oil and gas, and real estate transactional practice and the representation of various governmental entities, including various South Texas counties, in all types of transactional and litigation matters.
